          England are pretty well stocked with full backs so he has done well.

              He's not going to play most likely. He'll be fine. Great experience for him (abject England failure aside).

                I don't think they sit around on loungers unless they're in the starting XI. There's drills, tactics, running, mental discipline to maintain etc. In other words, no downtime from football.

                I guess I just want the best start for next season.

                  The biggest challenge is the abject boredom of being locked away in a complex 24 hours a day. They don't do much more that a couple of hours work a day, if that.

                      I think that it will be good experience for him, he is unlikely to play, but training etc will mean that he won't be as fresh come the start of the season, which will be a shame but hopefully Clyne will be available.
                      The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                          Highly unlikely. He'll have some light sessions trying not to injure people, learn from the experience, and given England will exit early will be back in plenty of time to get rested.
