Head’s gone. Needs to be kept on the sidelines for a few games ideally so he can take stock. Problem is we have no chance of resting him with the games coming up. He’s turned into as big a jinx as that ****ty away kit…

I'd honestly play oxlade at rb instead of trent. Anyone.

I'd play Tsimikas as RB for a few games and give Trent a rest. Gomez/Milner will need to provide cover if need be.

Needs to be pinned down on the ground and have his head shaved for a start. Since he's started growing these dreads he's been playing like a ****.

Hey moron! Hit another long ball to nobody! Its so effective!

I think he has really struggled to adapt to the change in our style of play, the balls he is playing now are no different too before, but the players ahead are not making the same runs.

Don't blame the player, blame the coaching.

Takes less than one second to look where you're passing and see that there is nobody there. He may be instructed to hit long balls to players in behind, but you still need to look where you're passing and if nobodies running onto that ball you're just giving possession away.

Robbo is the same. Both of them just hit and hope when we're not creating anything through the middle and have defences sitting deep not giving them any space to run into.

Most of Trent's long balls ate cross field too, get that wrong and there's far more chance of it going out of play than and straight ball forwards

He's the scouser in our team, but he doesn't play like one if that makes sense?

He doesn't have enough grit, aggression and pure will to win for me. He's too soft. If Gerrard got beaten 1-on-1 like he does he'd be absolutely fuming. Trent just shrugs it all off.

In most of the games againt Real the past few seasons he tends to try and duck out of that particular one on one. Lost count last night how many times he left it to Konate to deal with Vinicius.

The drifting to the LB slot, LW slot and AM slot is not new either, he has been doing that a lot this season during games. It's really weird because we gain nothing from it at all.

His positioning from that weird high camera angle last night was so strange wasn't it, sort of 5 yards forward and just to the right of Konate.

Yep that high camera angle really highlighted his odd positioning. He was pushing into Konate's space so much of the time and then there was Vinicius sitting out on the flank, almost in the RB spot, a good 10 to 15 yards from TAA. If there was one guy on the pitch that did not need open space around him to receive the ball and to be level with a back line standing off of hime like that, it was Vinicius.

It looked like TAA was trying to avoid facing Vinicius over and over and also to avoid any responsibility for that area of the pitch.

On a night when we were not playing with a RCM in the team it was so weird to see the RB totally vacate the area over and over with no natural cover there to drop back from a RCM position.

As much as Trent seems to have taken up crossing to no-one and overhitting it, Robbo on the other hand has decided that his crosses should only get as far as bouncing off the first defender and landing back in our own half...

Modric playing "ole" keepy uppies around him. And he still doesn't get angry enough to hunt modric down and scissor kick him.

By contrast watch how many times Konate 'mistimes' his studs into Vinicius's metatarsals making him wince each time. Vini never took on Konate after the first three times, always passed back.

Konate made sure he knew it would not be easy. Basically bullied him the way Vinicius has done to TAA the last three times (including last night) we played Real.
