That's the thing. Klopp has seen things with Trent and Robbo, elevated his own perspective and together they have changed, nay, redefined and pioneered modern football. It's like Trent came along, Klopp saw the future and they then decided this was what the future would be. And here we are, in this parallel ****ing universe, where Trent is beyond anything seen in football ever! That RUN for the goal, it was Bolt-level speed, after 1000 hours of mental intensity, to then finish it off like *that* - after all the assists and crosses... Its ****ing beyond What a time to be alive!!!

He's better than what Steven Gerrard was at 21.
        Are we winning?

            I cant think of any.

Lahm was great with general play, but he wasn't pinging 50yrd passes to peoples bootlaces, running up and down the flank like a race horse or whipping in crosses.

Zanetti and Thuram were amazing fullbacks, defensively rock solid but nowhere near Trents level going forward.

Alves and Roberto Carlos probably had the attacking side of the game but pretty ropey defensively and had nowhere near the passing range Trent does. He's like having Xabi, Beckham and Gerrard in one player

I think only Lahm was local to his team? That adds a bit of special sauce!

Echo everything, but he's also two footed, the goal we scored against City when he switched the play with his left to Robbo was insane, he is looking unstoppable.
                * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Nope. Gerrard at right back in this team at 21 would be doing exactly the same.

Gerrard in our front 3 at 21 would be insane.

I see what you mean but imo to compare him to other fullbacks is a bit of a useless comparison.

Sure that’s his position on the teamsheet and also what he takes up defensively but as he’s part of such a dominant side, the area in which he thrives is really more like an aggressive RM from the old 4-4-2 days but with more room as the opposition fullback is typically preoccupied with a winger like salah.

Now you could say Alves was also part of a dominant Barca side basically always on the front foot but stylistically the two teams are very different.

Even so, if you can him a RM, his stats are still insane. He gets so much time to get his head up and play those ridiculous passes from this position, time he just wouldn’t get in the centre - it’s a Klopp masterstroke.

I think a young Gerrard also would have flourished in such a set up at RB but whether he would have been this efficient, we’ll never know.

It'd be interesting to compare his assist stats with some of the top end right wingers.

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

He's second in the premier League on 8 assists this season.

De Brynue at Citeh leads the league on 11.

Only 4 other players in Europe's top 4 leagues have more assists than TAA.

Damien Duff at left wing back would have been good too.

Imagine if we were to sign a peak Duff in the summer.

Our back four would be TAA, Virg, Joe and Robbo :
