Yeah - we've lost a bit of confidence. As the saying goes, confidence takes a long time to build but can be lost quickly.

On this note I'm worried about Mane too. He doesn't have that same pizzazz to his game. Full backs are finding it easier than they should against him.
Sorry to hear that mate. Hope she’s on the mend !

Thanks mate. The only hope is there is no long term damage. We'll only find that out in years to come.

I bumped this as maybe apart from Bobby, I don't think I have ever seen such a deteriorating in a player. Dear god, this guy was considered one of, if not the best fullback in the world the last few years & since about the last few games of last season & all of this season he genuinely looks like a player that should playing in the championship. I just can't get my head around how painfully slow and predictable he has got. I think he set a record for most misplaced passes a few weeks ago and last night surely has to be a record for the most ****/mi**** crosses in a single game of football. He was never the greatest defender but his attacking game was outstanding. He doesn't get high up, most of his crosses are from that KDB deeper crossing position and he seems to be mi****ting most of them. His energy levels have fallen off a cliff.

Huge, huge player for us that imo if we had any half way decent replacements he surely would have been dropped by now. I hope that doesn't sound harsh but this isn't the Trent we have come to know.

He doesn't look fit. His concentration levels seem to be way off.

That freekick was a shocker as well, blasting it over Annie road - particularly when we've got Shaq on the pitch who's generally amazing at them - and (shock) seems to have a bit of form.

The free kick was rolled way to far, he had to reach for it. It should be a lay-off, not a pass.

But yeah, Shaq should have taken that, when he's on the pitch, no matter what side of the goal the kick is, he should have first dibs.

His crossing has become abject. Hits the first man every time. I think he maybe drilled one or two 10000 mph crosses that could have got lucky, but the pace on them is proper hit and hope stuff.

Salah was actually asked in that interview last week, whose crosses he prefers and he jokingly says Robbo because Trent hits his so hard, but there may be some truth in it.

In fact the entire team are guilty of one of my greatest et hates in football - taking on a shot or a cross when it is 100% guaranteed to be blocked.

For all the crap crosses, there were at least 2 that should have resulted in the striker at least testing the keeper, if not in goals...at that point, the crosses are suddenly justified, but our misfiring strikers means the focus is on the crosser again.

This, jesus christ I lost count of how many times this has happened this season. It's hit and hope and so frustrating.

i thought that Klopp might throw on Milner last night instead of Minamino. Trent was having so much time on the ball in good areas and just couldnt do anything

I wonder will Klopp consider playing Milner at RB soon?

He had obviously been warming Neco at the end of last season for this role. I'd be inclined to use him because I can see Millie picking up two cards against a team that runs with the ball. He can fill in wherever is needed as the game progresses. I'd actually be inclined to change both full backs for this game. And Sadio and Mo, but not Bobby or Divock, so they play much narrower. If Thiago plays he should play much closer to the strikers.

I think I get the logic of you saying this but I hope we do not try playing him further forward.

Bad enough at present with the amount of movement that is not happening beside and in front of him, but put him further forward and he gets an even smaller pool of poor movememt to work with and would end up having to play the ball backwards more. He generally did his best stuff for Bayern in that pivot position in midfield and last season he was awesome in that role with Kimmich and Goretzka being the CDM and box to box CM that he worked between.

He has played further up the pitch, but him being in a dedicated advanced attacking role is something he has done less and less over the past seven or eight seasons.

Tbh I think in certain games, and if Matip was fit, I would be tempted to play one of the young CBs alongside Matip just so we could have Thiago in the pivot position between Fab in CDM and Henderson (or Wijnaldum if we used him like the Dutch teans does) in the more box to box role.

Something I've noticed and something many of you have alluded to already is that both he and Robbo take ****, short corners. I ****ing hate short corners, he also takes corners that swing out the way rather than in the way, there's absoloutely zero threat from outswinging corners ffs, we do it every single time; the same with free kicks too - we mess about standing over the ball, 2/3 players chatting over it, just ****ING HIT IT you silly *******s!

**** sake, every single time we do it, it's driving me ****ing bananas. Just stop ****ing about it yapping and trying to be clever and just ****ing drive the ball in the box you clowns.

                                **** sake.
