WTFOriginally posted by Fredo View PostBreaking up play when we had 79% of the ball? He hardly had to do this and I'm sure Klopp doesn't think like this.
They still countered us loads and if him and Wijnaldum arent there to break up the play are they just there to watch their midfielders play through us
Yep I am sure Klopp is happy to leave the midfield wide open and let teams just walk through

I think we can expect players who come into the League to settle quickly when our experience tells us that the players we have signed who know the League that do.
Outfield player wise I can’t think of a signing we’ve brought into the country who has settled well first season, even Suarez (Jan signing) really hit his stride after a season or a season and a half. Elite PL players like Bergkamp and Henry took time to settle.
We need to be patient.Modifying post.

He might well come good next season but he looks miles off for me at this moment in time
Also in terms of a player who was constantly getting booked in Germany he barely puts a tackle inBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

...biggest surprise for me - he was picking up cards all over the place and even reds were quite a regular occurrence.Originally posted by Lecter View PostHe might well come good next season but he looks miles off for me at this moment in time

Looks like the pace of the game is passing him by at the moment and he's not yet adjusted enough to be able to put the boot in. I'd thought he'd be more of a goal-scoring Mascherano... a bit snide, leaving the boot in here and there.
I'm sure he'll hit form like Fabinho once he has a more regular starting line up and played in a position which suits his style of play. He is a clever player from what I've seen in the Bundersliga. Maybe the end of the season once the title is decided (whichever way) - he may get more game time...

I appreciate the it takes time to settle and it's a difficult league to come into etc
what concerns me re keita tho is there has been virtually nothing shown that says he's got much to offer
Fabinho when he was struggling, still had moments/phases of play where you could see he had quality and given a bit of time he's started to flourish and right now should be starting every week if fit.
it will be one hell of a turn around if Keita gets to the level I or we :-) were expecting. 20 games or so in and other than one great Cruyff turn against Palace (I think it was?) at the start of the season, theres not been that much else happening from himi own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

He's had silky moments, he glides in possession and has that uncanny knack of always having his body between a challenger and the ball. The iniesta/xavi/coutinho trait in my mind.
I see the player in there, failing abit with the final ball, or hesitant in the final third. I think it will come good when it all becomes automatic and he doesn't have to think about it all so much.
