I was speaking to a physio the other week of a League Two side and he was talking about Chamberlain

His first impression was that he had damaged his PCL (Posterior Cruciate Ligament)

His words were if Chamberlain has surgery on any CL's then its 9 months plus. If he doesnt have surgery its 6-9 months

Any link to the tweet? I couldn't find anything from him.

Wow, that's terrible news never mind next season, hopefully he'll manage to reach his current levels when he actually returns.

So next season we'll be without him and Can. That's leaving us with the exact same midfield three we have now + Keita (don't you dare saying Lallana). I think we need to add Fekir and at least one more, if not two, seeing how Milner won't go for ever and Wijnaldum is not at the required level of a starter.

Keita, Fekir, Henderson, Neves, Maddison, Milner, Wijnaldum could work

Given it was impact just below the knee-cap, PCL would make sense. I was under the impression that PCL was shorter recovery time for ACL, but if it's a full reconstruction then 9 months might be worst case.

                Ah. Cheers.

Same, i'm not an expert but i didn't think it was an ACL but have no idea of the extent of the injury otherwise. The club have had some rotten luck with knee injuries so i'm hoping this one won't be for the whole year.

The PCL was the physio I spoke withs initial impression, hes not got access to any other information than what he saw on tv

He called it the "car crash injury" because the impact as you say is front of the kneecap and similar things to this happen in car crashes

The guy I spoke with also said it was a shorter recovery than ACL unless reconstructive surgery was required

You see I am not sure about Graeme at times

He only mentioned PCL after I tweeted the comment about what I was told by a physio

To do both of them would be incredibly bad luck, as one is generally caused by impact (PCL) and the generally caused by over extension of the knee usually by a change of direction (ACL)

Also if hes done both wouldnt he have had surgery by now???

Maddison also picked up a knee injury in his last game of the season for Norwich which was a suspected ligament injury so would be surprising if we moved for him in the summer

Looks like its only 8 weeks for Maddison so maybe a deal for him might be still on this summer

Nah, Neves is unproven and Maddison is injured.

                            For me it's -

Keïta, Henderson, Jorginho, Milner, Fekir, Khedira

We won't be getting Jorginho. Looks like City in driving seat for that. Neves fits the type of player we buy. I could see a move for him.
