Just saying which ligament(s) were involved and whether there was surgery is **** all detail to go off in fairness. There would be vastly different recovery times depending on the exact injuries and interventions. Let's wait and see.

I am only passing on what a League 2 physio I was talking to said if it's ACL or PCL and it involved surgery it's a long long period out
Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

Yeah, I know. Point is even based on that guess the information is insufficient to make that determination. He could have grade I/II ACL and/or PCL injuries and the surgery was just an arthroscopic meniscal repair. He could have full thickness tears of both with the ACL torn in the most hostile location for reconstruction, and rehab prolonged by a partial meniscectomy and considerable muscle wasting. **** knows.
So even knowing imthose ligaments were incolved in the injury, he could be back during pre-season or giving us a boost around Easter. Joyce seemed to suggest his ACL is fine and that we're hopeful he makes pre-season. Fingers crossed he's right.
I thought with the number of midfielders we've been linked with, we might see a surprise departure i.e. Lallana (even though I would've kept him anyway), but with the news that a November return for the Ox is expected, I doubt it now.
Definitely need to buy another. It'll help the january period to have an extra around. By then Ox might be back. If he breaks again we'll have extra players waiting.
The reality is he will be out for most of next season. Even if he could be back in training in November it would probably take at least 3 months to get fully match fit after such a long lay off.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
So one of his cruciates was involved unlike what some rumoured, but he could also be back sooner than the 9-12 months plus that some people were claiming would be the case. Just got to hope his rehab goes well. Good luck, Ox
