Somehow has evaded forum scrutiny since November. His ten mins yesterday summed his form up. Continually gave the ball away and lucky to not get a red. He just looks clumsy and awkward in and out of possession.

He’s always taken a few games to get up to speed, but right now he is rightfully second choice to Bajetcic.

Going by the form of both this season, we wish he had turned into Fred.

How did he not get a red here? He literally has no chance of getting the ball.

I don't think there was any malicious intent, he's just so far off the pace he's mistiming everything and getting everything hopelessly wrong. Definitely a red, amazed he escaped one. He knew it.

If another player did that to Elliot or Bajcetic, we would be calling for his head regardless of whether it was deliberate or accidental. He generally is not a dirty player, but that was an awful attempt and could have caused a bad injury to the player.

Agreed, not malicious (only really based on his reaction, reputation and form), but how can he ever think he is getting that ball...??? It's almost worse that it is not malicious. Its so badly timed.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

For me it summed up his form, so far off the pace and miles away from where he should be.

I think VAR can only give a red if the challenge is above the ankle or something? Sure I heard that anyway.

It was a terrible challenge anyway, and we did about 3 similar ones in the second half. All accidental but all because we are always a yard off the pace.

Is he out of form or is he just done? I'm not sure how long you can play terribly before it goes from "out of form" to "he's cooked". He is playing like an ageing player coming towards the end of his career, slow, lazy & going through the motions for at least a year now, maybe longer. I just don't get it, did we over rated him?

No, I don't think so. He was class. Now his legs look to have gone. It happens. He is always a yard or two behind the play. I think he knows it too, you can see it in his face.

Hope I'm wrong and he recovers, but if not he's another one we'll need to get shot of I'm afraid!

Do you remember that arcade game Track and Field when we were kids? It all feels a bit like that. You'd have this health bar and when you were running you'd have to run as fast as you could without going into the red zone bit. When you did you'd quickly deplete your stamina and be gassed. You had to time it right.

Well we played all last season in that red zone bit and all our players are permanently goosed

Can't remember a player deteriorating as much as this bloke has.

He looked like he'd won a competition to get on the pitch he was THAT bad.
