But the reality is that, when he played, he made very little impression. That does not mean he won't turn out to be a great signing, it is just that at the moment he is not able to contribute enough. Going to Southampton and hopefully getting more game time is a chance for him to continue his settling down in a new country with a faster more physical version of football, get back into his groove and, hopefully, achieve the step up. If he makes a success of the loan, he'll be welcomed back. And, if he doesn't, he'll be moved on in summer.

And I suspect this also helps keep the books balanced.

Hopefully he gets to play often and starts doing well, then comes back next season with us and plays at the level I expected of him. I dont know why hes been so poor for us. I'm hoping its just settling in. I think his english is garbage level still so that wont things easy.

How many players can come in once every few weeks in a different position every time and put in a top performance? Not many I'd wager. Add to that the whole Covid thing and having to get used to a new team, a broken season, no fans, nothing normal, and there's probably ****house sushi in Liverpool too.

He was on a hiding to nothing from the get go.

He could qualify for a PL winners medal again if he does that 😎
Me, I’m either planning a holiday or I’m on one.

Possibly the worst take I've seen on this forum and that is saying something

Sure, he didn't work out but that's utter madness

...he's our Winston Bogarde (although he never won a title in three years of sitting in the stands for the Chavs)

I don't think he was that bad and he really didn't get a chance, unlike Minamino who is well into double digits in terms of appearances. Just used him and Babb as an example as their names often come up on worst lfc player lists. I would probably put Minamino on a lower level than Diouf and similar to Antonio Núñez.

Think we need a new thread title.
                    Oh I don't know.

Ged's first signing for us takes some beating. Jean Michel Ferri. 2 appearances both as sub.

Brought in to be a mole in the camp it was reckoned.

                          Diomede was crap too.

Torben Piechnik, Istvan Kozma, we've had way worse than Taki at our club.

He apparently said he felt undeserving of the medal last year but if he contributes to taking points off City & co that helps us to the title he can have another one surely.

His lack of game time like all players for us is on him, he obviously wasn't showing enough in training otherwise he'd have got his chances.

He's gone now and hopefully he can show what he can do at Southampton but if he doesn't it'll that will likely be on him as well

Would that be World Cup winner Bernard Diomede?

Yeah we've signed some amount of ****e over the years. Struggling to see how Taki can be picked as the worst of the lot.
