Wasn't entirely Litmanen's fault though. He was often available and Houllier just didn't select him. Even Litmanen thought - why on earth did you sign me?

He's a really good player but you have to say a disappointing signing due to his injury record, shame really that he couldn't have been on the pitch more.

Morientes looked like an imposter of the Real Madrid and Monaco player.

He was expensive considering his playing time, but a rolls royce of a player. You look at expensive flops like Antony, Sanchez at united to put the signing in context, he wasn't that expensive.
