How could we possibly have announced a signing or anything out with the death of Diogo in the last ten days?

The game today would appear to be the obvious point at which the outward messaging can slightly pivot towards what is standard, but even then I’d imagine it will be carefully monitored. The consultation with Diogo m’s wife and family will have covered some of this for sure - the club have handled all of this with a delicate touch that can not have been easy.

Best player on the pitch today.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Thought the first half side played much better. Dom, Mo and Bradley linked up nicely and looked great down the right. Bradley was one of the best today. Those three played the best football today. Add in Gravenberch who just carried on doing what he does now. Thought Rio looked very lively too and did some good work defensively too which is encouraging to see. All did much more than Nunez easily.

That second half side didn’t play very well. Most of them looked off the pace and a bit behind the ones in the first half. Nunez got on the end of a bad back pass and scored as he should but didn’t really stand out or do anything in particular today.

If he stays I can't see him playing much in which case his value drops further.

So just take lower offers now or loan him and hope he does well.

Unless the loan fees would add up to the transfer fee we could get, it is a very poor option. I thought Slot had a reputation as an improver of strikers, but the opposite has happened and even the chaos element has gone. Sell for whatever we can get.

It may pay half his wages and put him in the spotlight / maintain his value. If he does well..

But yeah I think take whatever we can get now and replace. This one was a mistake, got to move on.

I obviously wasn't being totally serious, but how you can say Salah looked great when he was completely anonymous and lost possession 10 times, but Nunez who played a crucial part in two goals 'didn't do anything in particular', is just nuts.

Tbh I want him to stay for a year with these players. I know I must be in the minority but I still like him and I wonder if new teammates could help his undisputed ability come out.

Or if anything, I hope he goes to Napoli at least. That would be iconic. Saudi league is a career dead-end and he's too good for it.

I don't want him to stay, but you have to look at the window in the round. If we can't get a reasonable fee then that's life, we'll have lots of good attacking talent so they're won't be much pressure for him to performbwhich might help him, and accepting a low ball offer night actually hurt or pursuit of a CB and subsidising his wages for a loan always seems nuts.

There's definitely a player in there but there's an immaturity with him. I'm not sure he can put it all together to be consistent. I'm sure the club know him better and what they do will be the right call. I'm just glad Napoli are out of the equation.

His biggest weakness is finishing off the chances. He has never struggled to get in to positions to finish and has good movement off the ball to get into position. There was never a lack of chances created by others for him, that was never the issue. I don’t think that changes with the new players. He does plenty of good things but in the end his job is to finish those chances and that is why he won’t be a top level 9.

I don't think he fits the style of play either and it seems Ekitike has the link up and build up play that suits what Slot wants. And even though people talk about his finishing from what I’ve read when it comes to big chances and chances inside the penalty area he is a good finisher.

If he stays he stays, as frustrating as he is he will score some goals. We are just not going to recoup anywhere near the fee unless Saudis come in for him.

And apparently they won’t now, after we unsettled Isak, according to the two in merchant
