And lets not forget Mane, he had one of the worst first touches ive seen most of the time. The ball would literally bounce off him. He just had such quick acceleration he'd knick the ball away from the defender before they got to it

This is all just social media opp fan drivel that some fans are lapping up. The new one is he's "missed the most chances of all forwards". He's also HAD the most chances of all forwards. Its all relative. To miss them you have to have the chances in the first place. ALL strikers miss chances galore. That tap-in merchant cunt at City that everyones wanking off about misses loads too. Scores a tap in at the back post though and everyone forgets the ones he missed.

The fact of the matter is, he's been very good so far in a side that has been underperforming and injury ravaged all whilst acclimatising to a new country, new teammates, new language etc. He's creating and scoring goals and proving a proper handful for defenders. What more do people ****ing want?

Nobody is saying any of that? Nunez is getting loads of praise just now. You are arguing in an empty room.

Bollocks they aren't. Every bloody match thread has people jumping on him the moment he does anything wrong. It's been like that since day one too.

No they aren’t. There is clearly room for improvement with him (unless you disagree with that?), he is doing well but if he can sort out his composure based on the number of chances he is getting he could be up there with Halaand. Everyone can see the potential

I saw him in the build up to the Leicester game. He missed three out of three in the striker drill. And he looked like a competition winner to be honest. IIRC he feel over the ball at one point.

That said he was sublime at Benfica, so I'm putting it down to adjustment. I'm not sure he'll kick on this year but I'm convinced it'll come back to that benfica form soon.

I've watched him closely in a few pre-match drills. At City he hoofed a few diabolical finishes miles wide. It's a part of his game that needs an awful lot of work.

But his technique is not the problem... apparently.

It’s definitely an issue. If he were finding the net more often. His chance conversion rate is 11% which basically tells you all you need to know. If he could get that up to 25% we are winning more games and the games we are already winning we are winning more comfortably.

We need more from Nunez than effort.

He wasn't as much a handful as he had been, but the way he took the disallowed goal shows you the ability he has. The guy will come good.

We could handle one mis-firing forwards if we had another couple on form, but we only have him and Salah fit and he is missing chances, not wanting to get on his back but it is a problem at the moment

His offside finish was excellent though.
