      He had a goal bound effort cleared off the line, so technically i wouldn't say its a "miss", pulled a shot wide from outside the box and then finished his other chance well, but was leaning offside unfortunately.

          That shot that was going out for a throw in!

          He was still a threat though. A bit unlucky on the one that got cleared off the line and also for the offside goal.

          I think the problem is we are carrying a few too many players that are off form and/or need time to settle in. If Darwin was coming into our side when we were winning every game I think he'd have been an instant success.

          My main worry for him is his mentality. Is he strong enough mentally? To me that is the biggest question mark against him.

            He''s not the issue for me, his finishing he needs to work on and that's pretty apparent but he keeps getting into the positions to score which is really important; the goals for him will come.

            Not reading social media would be a good thing for him, seems to react to what's said a little too much

              Well he's even got the Domino's UK twitter account poking fun at him now. So good job he doesn't speak English or know who the **** Andy Carroll is.

                Instead of having of your regular word vomit moments & throwing out personal insults like it's normal form, you possibly should read around the site & it's pretty evident that I & nobody else "hung the loss" on Nunez regardless if he missed chances or didn't play well. I do think you know that already though and wanted to have a pop or is this the only thread you have read since last night? Maybe scroll up to the top of the page to see might last post about how well he played in the previous game.

                Also, here's the kicker, this is the Darwin Nunez thread, where shockingly enough we do talk about him ... positive & negative. This might offend your clearly delicate sensibility when it comes to Nunez but all players are subject to critique which you are more than happy enough to dish out to other players (See record breaking, world class Mo Salah). That might be hard for you to comprehend but in threads of players, we actually talk about those players and their performances good or bad!! If you "actually" have read what I and most/if not all other LFC fans have been saying instead of just throwing out insults, you would gather that people like the way he plays, people think he will score goals & people think he will come good "however" he needs to show more composure in front of goal.

                I suggest you check Brentford Away match thread, 2022/23 season thread, Elliot thread, various transfer threads for some balance & context that you are missing. What you will read is that pretty much everyone thinks the midfield is why we lost & why we are losing games. Also, I am merely stating (apart from my technique comment) literally is what every single other person that has eyeballs & watches football in saying about Darwin. Everyone except you

                      He might not be the issue, He might come good and I think he will. But that shot he skewed and he does them every game.....You would be laughed off the pitch on a Sunday Mormng never mind being an 80m player.

                      IF he played for someone else we would be mocking him endlessly.

                        Yeah, im seeing it already from mates who support other sides. 110 shots for 9 goals. Tells a story. He could be getting a lot more with better finishing.

                              If we just change the thread name to just Darwin Nunez then everything will be fine.
                              The full title is putting too much pressure on the poor lad.
                              removing all the weak links makes us stronger
