I think it’s largely fear/nerves, movement without the ball is fine but he does not look confident or comfortable on the ball, and if it doesn’t come soon, and he doesn’t have a strong enough mentality, it might not come at all. Getting banned doesn’t help.

Saying the square ball wasn't on when it clearly was - he just hit it too hard and Mo couldn't get to it. The pass was clearly on though. In fact those types of goals seem to be our bread and butter under Slot and it clearly looks like an instruction. How many goals have we scored this season from squared balls to an onrushing player at the back post...

Then on the other hand, if he goes for the shot and say the keeper saves it, or he misses the target, hits the post etc etc people will then start hammering him for not squaring it to Mo.

Firmino was a ****ing atrocious finisher. He was just brilliant at everything else and Mane was infuriating in front of goal too, he missed loads of 1on1's, in fact isn't Darwins record last season (when he actually played) pretty similar to Manes best years? Short memories.

They just created so many chances for each other that a couple would go in eventually, but there were many, many games we should have won 8-0 with those guys and didnt.

Anyway, we ditched Nunez and won the league. Slot not feeling obliged to make a nunez based system work and focusing on getting the most out of Salah in the final third has made the difference. We're mere weeks away from correcting the mistake and it feels good.

You've concocted this narrative that I think Nunez is the best striker in the world in your own mind. All Ive said is that he's nowhere near as bad as some of you make out, which he isn't, and many actually agree with me. Some of these "sitters" as you always call them from your armchair were anything but. Sure he has missed some seriously easy shots and done some daft things, but all players do. For some reason though people seem to ignore others missing easy chance but absolutely hammer Nunez for it.

Also, If anyones actually obsessed with Darwin here its you if we went back through this thread. You're pretty much the first to post about him after every game. In like a flash, raging at Darwin missing another "sitter".
