I've heard of it ...watched it a few times before and never last more than a few seconds.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

        I've heard of it too.

        It's ****e.

It takes place in a f*cking shopping centre, doesn't it?
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Talking of ****e sport on TV, what's happened to Nick Halling from Sky's American Football coverage?

I think you have to get propely into it and the players, although the 5-6 players that made it what it is dont play anymore.

Earl the pearl Strickland starting fights with the ref, other players, the crowd, commenters

I think he's slated to take over their boxing coverage. They never replaced the eminently replaceable Ian Darke when he went to ESPN in the States.

Shame, because Neil Reynolds is so ****ing bland. Big Cecil cracks me up though.

Yep, Reynolds is tedious. Maybe he'll get better but atm moment he reads the autocue almost as badly as that ex-kicker from Britain, Mick whatisname.

                  Yeah, See-sul

                  I like Kevin Cadle too:

If you call the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas and York Hall London shopping centres then yes it does

Yeah, Cadle is a good anchor. I don't know why they didn't get Mike Carlson. He's a smart pundit and his analysis is tight. Far beyond the lazy coverage they get from Reynolds. The non-player pundit should be there to offer tactically astute coverage, not cliches. Carlson was a hilarious commentator for the Notre Dame games on Eurosport last year, but his studio analysis is clear and concise. Reynolds is cheap I suppose, but he makes me want to watch Redzone whenever I hear his dreary voice.

misreading this thread title made me think of another - your Top 5 sporting events ever across all sports e.g. Istanbul, Rumble In The Jungle, 1970 World Cup final...

Carlson is really good I agree.

I think he used to live around the corner from me. He was always loafing about in cafes in NW3. Nice bloke. Given he was such a fixture on late night tele, it always seemed strange seeing him during daylight hours.

I suppose I subconsciously associated him with vampires.
