    Couple of points

Parker is utter ****ing gash. His people best keep him away from Joshua. He'd get murdered.

Fury's got no power at the weight. Slapping, cuffing jabs and the occasional uppercut aren't going to win you a World Heavyweight Title

Was a meeting of two low quality heavyweights. Joshua or Wilder would destroy either of them.

I have watched the Canelo v Golovkin fight 3 times now. For me Golovkin missed a lot of punches and landed punches that you cannot score. Canelo, landed shots and when he landed they were crystal clear, crisp and scored. The problem is people (I'm in no way saying it about anyone on here by the way) can't catch what is happening in a fight because they don't know what to look for. Their eye's aren't sharp and they aren't familiar with the technical details of how to block a shot and can't see the difference between a jab landed and a jab grazing the glove and not scoring. A lot of Golovkin's jabs are questionable as to whether they can be classed as a punch as they were just touches to Canelo's forehead imo. If you're going to score them then you may as well score everytime a glove touches the body.

People score aggression for Golovkin and other boxers with a similar style to his because he was just walking forward. As Mayweather often says "the art of boxing is hit and don't be hit". It's not go forward, swing, get smashed and carry on going forward. It is not the essence of boxing, the noble art, that we call pugilism.

I have no problem with anyone thinking Golovkin won, I think it was very close but I had Canelo winning 7-5. You could have given it to either fighter. I was listening to Mayweather sr give his reaaons why he felt Canelo won and all people were saying is that he would think that because it looks good for his son. They're just being cynical and guessing at his motivations as though it's definitive. Hopkins felt Canelo won so are we saying he only said this because he is affiliated with golden boy?

We may disagree on the scoring of the fight, but enjoyed reading your post.

One thing I will add to what you said about how fights can be scored is that volume of punches thrown is often more of a stand out feature than how cleanly punches land. You touched on this in your post but a guy who throws a lot of punches round after round (and a lot of those punches in real time may look like they landed) is usually going to sway the judges more than the guy who throws far less punches but who is landing cleanly with a higher %.

Might seem a very obvious thing to say, but in a fight where both keep throwing to the final round, it can and normally is something that catches the eye and racks up points on scorecards.

Repeat viewings of a fight will allow one to pick up more clearly on what is a landed punch and what is not, on what is an effective punch and what is a slap and so on.

What will be interesting is if either man tries to change his approach in the rematch (assuming it happens). They now need no feeling out period to figure out what the other brings in terms of power and general movement, and they both have a more rounded idea of how effective their own power was or was not during the fight.

Golovkin I think will again bring his tried and tested style of boxing, but Canelo I think may change his style a little bit as he has form for doing so in the past. If I had to guess I think he might try to up his output whilst counter punching. He times fighters well and the 12 rounds with Golovkin will aid him to no end on that front.

I am also expecting some attempts at Canelo's side pushing for a catchweight fight and more messing about with regards to sanction fees.

Fight 1 was a good one, but the rematch could be very good and we are due a barn stormer at some point between two top guys so fingers crossed.
