That's a bit beyond my budget unfortunately. I want to start with something cheap and cheerful so I can realise the value then upgrade.

I'm really interested in something that can track my heart rate and movement. Nothing too advanced. Hopefully they can replace my bike computer (Garmin 200).

Cheers fella. Funnily enough I was watching their youtube review earlier and saw that the watch also has indoor rowing and gps golf settings which pretty much covers all my activities. If it had a badminton setting too then I'd happily pay £1000 for it

I have the garmin 220 but that has no activity tracker. Suits me though. The newer version Garmin 235 has a wrist based HRM and an activity tracker.

This guy does brilliant in depth reviews for all watches. This is the one for the Fenix 3. You can build your own comparison table against other watches at the bottom of the review.

I was thinking of getting a new GPS watch with activity tracker. After a bit of research the Garmin Fenix 3 looks the best one as it resembles a normal watch. Anyone got one?

33.7km is nearly a blimmin marathon

We've had over 100 people turn up to the C25K courses. Amazing!

It's really up to them what they do after. Some carry on and do parkrun and run more socially. Others get hooked and there are a few 5k to 10K groups locally. A few who did one of my C25K course last summer have entered their first marathon!

Our local area has gone run crazy. In addition to a few affiliated clubs, there are a large number of non-affiliated groups offering a pay as you go training evening catering for all abilities. Pretty much one every evening and some in the mornings.

Since last year, I have qualified as a Leader in Running Fitness through UK Athletics and been part of a drive in collaboration with the local council and other run leaders to get people of all ages and abilities running in our local area. We have been running C25K groups and it's been great to watch people go from being out of breath from running for 60 seconds to complete a 5k after 9 weeks. C25K is how I started running about 3 years ago so I know it works. Got a lot of satisfaction from helping others get started on their running journey.

Fitbit do wifi scales and they integrate with my fitness pa too. They only measure body fat percentage and weight but they're a pretty good way of charting progress if you're trying to slim down. I've not lost a huge amount of weight but as opposed to getting despondent I can see that my fat percentage is falling so I'm progressing
