Why dont you all piggy back on the last quoted numbers? Adding your own? Saves Fake having to do it every time.

Sounds like a good ideaOriginally posted by Alex View PostPersonally I think we should have a separate Running thread now. But thats just little old me.
One where we can check in and add these numbers. You know, adding tips and encouragement.

I used to use endomondo but now I prefer the addidas app. Im training for a half marathon and you can add a training plan, it gives me some really good stats and some very good feedback during the run.
I also listen to a lot of dance music whilst I run. I have never really been a massive fan of the genre, more of an indie kid, but since taking up running (following a bad break up) I have got into it. I find it helps me run, when a song comes on I enjoy it gives me a burst!
everyone is different though, one of my friends listens to Eminem due to the beat. I tried running to indie music but found it difficult to hit my stride.
I'm exactly the same and love running to Euro style trance as the best just keeps you going. I'm not taking the piss but if you get a chance, have a listen to the album Intuition by DJ Encore as I found it really motivational.
I've been using the Micoach app too (see screenshot in my last post) and like it but I bought the Micoach pacer bundle and don't think it integrates at all well when using a phone as your GPS. You an use the pedometer/pacer and HR monitor but everything routes though the pacer device which gives instructions. I'd be really interested to hear if you've worked out how to utilize both. Micoach has lots of HR features in the training schedule and these are wasted IMO.
No joke but I carry around my Galaxy Note in a fanny pack. The armband ones etc are only decent for normal sized phones but Sweatshop had one that my phone just about squeezes in toOriginally posted by Rich View PostI've got a Lumia 920, find it a bit bulky for taking it out with me.
Eminem - Lose Yourself is a great running track, as is the Training Montage music from Rocky IV...

I get why people listen to dance music to run/exercise but personally I never do. I prefer to listen to something that takes me away and distracts my mind. I find some of my best music listening time takes place on my long runs. I can really focus on listening to the music properly.
Also when you combine some beautiful music with some beautiful scenery it can be quite inspirational and gives me the odd massive high

Also it's amazing how you can feel utterly shattered and devoid of any energy, then a certain song comes on and BOOM you feel full of life and pick you pace back up again
Alex - Can you split some of these most recent running related posts out of here and put them in a dedicated running thread please?
