Call it Karma or whatever. But I only got out to 2km today before I had to stop. Clearly whatever illness I had has effected my chest, because I could barely breathe. Shame.
I guess my small amount today and yesterday add up to a normal run. But I'm getting annoyed now. I have it in my legs, but the puff has gone.

Cheeky 3.5 mile lunch time run to overtake Slinks - in your face choccy finger!
Now tucking into salmon with ginger and garlic with rice - tastes like heaven!

200kg shrugs, dam man that's basically a deadlift first THEN starting yoru shrugs. I'll not lecture you on lifting safely
As it happens thats a wee routine I try in my last set (drop set) of deadlifts....do a normal dead lift but bring it right up into a full shrug...then back down.Cheers

Typically it dies out through the summer and kicks off again in the winter but because it's so popular now they pretty much run throughout the year.Originally posted by Alex View PostThought you were an ultra marathon runner? Does it have seasons and stuff?
I've got my first of the year next Saturday - 50 miles but a combination of holidays and man flu have really screwed up my training. Just have to trundle through - next one is mid May so hoping to put a good performance in for that.
How's yours coming along - you've been smashing it of late.'The tide is very much in our court now.'

Played pursuit last night with the club. Smashed it for the full 10k. Only dropped 2 from the group and were still pounding it up the hill at the end. Average pace 6.36/ mile. Calves are brutal today though!A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Mine is ok, chest infection problems this week have done me. Nothing serious, but it is restricting me.Originally posted by Carras_Shin_Pads View PostTypically it dies out through the summer and kicks off again in the winter but because it's so popular now they pretty much run throughout the year.
