A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

Downloaded my Garmin and I did 50km last month, in total. So, start of August, we're back to square one chaps. Can Carra or Saveloy manage to top the mighty Rowan? Let's find out. FIGHT.

I'm out later to get the ball rolling. Rolling. Rolling.

What's everyone done for the year to date?

I'm almost at the 500km mark. I had a target of 800km+ for the year, so although I've been slack recently, that is still achievable.

According to Strava I've done 917km this year which given that I've been injured for the last 4 months I'll take.

400km on the bike since the end of May too

I went on a lovely run middle of last week, felt fit too and then just as I got back my Achilles heel started getting really painful.

                              Still really sore now.
