      Definitely think I need to stock up on some glucosamine and CLO again, joints have been killing me at the gym recently.

          Holy ****. I just stuck 30kg on a bar and realised just how bad it is. I managed to press 3 sets of 12 out but really felt it.

          I have become weak.

          Gotta master this *******.

          Also rediscovered my favorite and yet most hated exercise, hammer curl to shoulder press.

            I'm worried my shoulder & bench will be weak as piss for ages yet- even post surgery/op. so much rehab to do before I can start lifting even 50% what I used to.

            Curl to press eh? Should get them Wimmin-attracting muscles out.

                  Concentration Hammer curls
                  Rotating dumbell flies

                      TLDR, but gist seems to be don't be a poser, do it properly

                      Couldn't agree more.

                      I've never done leg day, upper body day etc either. I like to keep the heart rate up by alternating.

                      Work on your legs whilst your upper body is resting, swap, etc. In fact when something was heavily isolated I'd actually do it between sets (i.e., leg press, and upright rows between sets, calf raises and isolation curls between sets).

                      Aim being to walk out of the gym with every muscle aching. And hammering as much weight as you can seems to destroy the flow, you end up with muscles too tired to do a full routine and something gets neglected.

                      But then I was doing it more for weight loss than muscle gain.

                      Shoulders and chest are aching like **** today, feels awesome, can't wait to get back into this **** properly

                                Best tip I've ever been given was by Gabe Moen, "Leave your ego at the door and concentrate on form over weight, the ability to lift heavier weight is a result of having good form when lifting lower weight"
