Michael Vaughan revealed in The Sunday Telegraph that the condition around not picking Pietersen was one of the reasons why he did not pursue his interest in the job that went to Strauss. "The ECB still seems to be a little bit reluctant to bring him back and I feel that the Pietersen issue is going to be a talking point through the summer," Vaughan wrote.
