Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

This is why I never watch England friendlies. I watch the competitions hoping we will do well, but cannot stand the booing of other national anthems, repeated singing of God Save the Queen and general hatred of opposition players and fans. We even boo our own players according to which club they play for. Makes me sick.

But we were god awful, last night too.

Whether booing the team is acceptable or not it is not acceptable in my opinion for a player to vent his frustrations with the fans at the camera.

Rooney has forgotten where he has come from - he earns more in a week than most England fans do in 3 years. Sure he's just as frustrated as the fans are at the performance, but he can do something about it, they can't. He chose to mouth off at the camera - odious little **** that he is.

For the record, though, yes England fans are just ****ing awful, but that doesn't excuse his behaviour.
            Really?

Haha, that seems the easier option to me. Just slag off everyone involved rather than taking sides.

I applaud his behavior, takes balls to say what he said and every word of it was spot on ...

Carra: Fans have right to boo

                      20th Jun 2010 - Steven Hunter

Jamie Carragher insists he doesn't have a problem with supporters booing after England's disappointing goaless draw with Algeria on Friday night.

Fabio Capello's side must now beat Slovenia on Wedesday afternoon to reach the last 16 of the World Cup and Carragher admits the team have not given the England supporters much to shout about.

"I feel the supporters in the stadium were perfectly entitled to boo the team," said Carragher. "I've never had a problem with that.

"I've always said fans should support during the game but, at the end, they're right to let us know when they're not happy.

"It's not as if they've only travelled around the corner to watch us.

"We're on the other side of the world and they've paid a lot of money and made a lot of effort to come and see us do well.

"We need to give them something to cheer about.

"I think we have to applaud the fans for the support they've given us and make sure we're here a lot longer."

"We know there will be a lot of criticism flying around.

"To be honest, we don't get much of a sense of what's happening, or what's being said at home, whether it's negative or positive and that's probably for the best.

"I've been at tournaments where we've played well and the country was buzzing back home, but you had no sense of it.

"It's the same when the reaction is negative. I'll get texts and hear things, but you have to take the rough with the smooth and get on with your job."

Liverpool's No.23 is suspended for Wednesday's must-win clash with Slovenia but is backing Steven Gerrard and co to get the victory and reach the last 16.

"England have recovered from this kind of situation before," he added.

"Some of my first memories of watching football as a kid were of the World Cups in 1986 and 1990.

"People look back at those tournaments now and say we did well. But I remember a lot of criticism of the side after their first two games.

"England showed both times that it's not how you start a tournament but how you're playing in the later stages.

"That's why we're desperate to improve and put the first two games behind us.

"I expected the first game against the USA to be cagey, but there is no getting away from the fact it was disappointing against Algeria.

"In a funny way, if we get out of this situation, I believe it will help us.

"Sometimes when you only have one last chance and you take it there's a momentum which builds and the spirit gets *stronger.

"We're all desperate to get through - just like the supporters - and I'm still confident we'll do it and I'll get a chance to play in the knock-out rounds.

"Sometimes the bigger the game is the more it brings out of us as a team.

"We know exactly what we have to do now. It's effectively starting the knock-out stage now.

"The manager has been there and done it at the highest level and I'm sure he's been in a lot of *positions like this. He's seen everything in the game.

"There's no need for us to play with any fear. They're the same players who did so well in *qualifying and *reproducing that form will see us turn the *situation around."

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
