The reason the Istanbul comparison is not fair IMO is the fact that Istanbul was a Final and England's was just a group game.
If England actually made it to a Final, no matter how bad they played they would never get booed, but the performance last night in a group game was just very very poor at best.
Personally I would never booo, but I can honestly understand why the England fans did last night. So should Rooney.

I disagree insofar as I think England fans would have no hesitation in booing in a World Cup final. In fact I am 100% convinced if they were 3-0 down at half-time in the final they'd be booed off.

I don't think there's much chance of the team getting to the final to test that theory out

i have to blow steam off somehow and there is no better way then to prove how wrong half the arguements on here about aussies are by using an example of your own
