Don't want to hear all this World Cup bid ****, but I find that laughable, especially considering Capello's strict regime, that he's there sitting on the bench. I definitely remember hearing all about how Beckham wouldn't want to go there following his injury, as he wouldn't feel its his place to inadvertently interfere etc etc.

Completely agree, it undermines Capello's authority big time. He has no place being there. No injured player is ever in the picture. Look at Ferdinand. He was on his sofa last night Tweeting about the game FFS, while Beckham's on the bench! Being in the stand would be bad enough but on the bench?!?!

What's that got to do with anything? You only have to have watched last night's game to see England went through phases of the game when they were chasing the ball and struggled to get it back. And often when they did get it back they lost it almost immediately. What's contentious about that? I don't see how the stats from some completely different game are in any way relevant.

I was assuming it was to do with the world cup bid primarily but I suspect the FA will claim he's there in some other capacity, to support the players and offer the benefit of his experience or some other BS.
