I'm so surprised at how disappointed I am by this. Really disappointed.

If it's true our bid didn't get past the first stage then that's a disgrace and needs investigating. How can they justify that? It looked an impeccable bid from the outside.

The old farts running the English bid ruined it.

FIFA (the organisation) would have made the most money had the World Cup come to England, they will make the least amount by going to Russia. The Fifa officials on the other hand...

Went to Dubai visiting a mate recently, cheapest place i could get a pint was at the hotel and that cost £6 and i had to drink it in my room, i won't be in a rush to go back there any time soon

or more accurately, Russia offered a larger amount of backhanders than the other bidders, including England.
All these major corporate sporting decisions are played out the same way IMO
