I'm less sure. Not convinced he'll be at the club in 5 years time, and not because he'll have gone to Barca. Newcastle most probably.

Why have we chosen not to utilise this for the preseason games?

I meant the great attacking fullbacks and supremely creative midfield and its top notch service

Aside from Cole, Poulsen & Jovanovic who else will be, Ken?

He's been good all things considering. Looked lively in the games he's played in, scored goals, looked increasingly sharp, had an excellent beard for a period. Last two games his movement has been much better and he's looked a lot quicker than he did at the end of last season. It's always a delight to see him galloping through defences with his fetlocks blowing in the wind.

I'd be inclined to say he's probably been our best player
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

                El Zhar most probably.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Carroll has never impressed me. Still hoping for Kenny to waive his magic wand and make him a great player but ...
                  Are we winning?

So he will get the testimonial then
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

                      .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

                            Really!

I think he has been poor and one dimensional and I worry that we are a step up to far for him with his level of movement.

Bit unfair to not give him a proper chance.

Carroll is bound to look a little rusty. He spent most of the second half of the season injured. Now he is back in training he is playing catch up fitness wise. I watched the game last night and thought he done well considering how long he had been out. I'm fairly confident he will perform well for us
