    You serious?

That's one of the most inaccurate posts I've read today, and I've read several of Phil_Neal's posts today too.

So Carroll is fat and we should loan him out because he is making everybody else play ****?

note that this is all if i had ever believed in him enough to spend 35m on him, which i don't. but if i was in the position where i did, i'd be looking at someone who could score lots of goals but also compliment both andy or luis. honestly not completely sure who's out there who would actually come. demba ba maybe. podolski could be a good shout.

this doesn't exist in a vacuum either, this is in addition to all the other work that has to go into the squad, like another holding midfielder and a granero type ball player.

imagine what a side it would be with granero and ericksen in it

but i digress. there's a lot of work still to be done and i'm getting impatient. i'd like to see some kind of plan happen soon that's not the same one from the summer

Now Im not saying that's the return you expect for 35m quid but it was a lot more than other players produced yesterday. So why is he getting most of the stick?
Because it's a thread about him probably.

Or perhaps it's infuriating that you find a yard in the box and the cross hits the first defender? Or you see the goalkeeper get his finger tips to a 90th minute effort.

Carroll has been centimetres from grabbing the winners against Man City, Swansea and a couple others escape me.

Real, real problem unless we decide to cut our losses and just sell him for what he is worth now which is not much

fair enough, but he aint proving his worth. all im saying is some time away would allow him to find his shooting boots, and allow us to blood a couple of the young'uns that seem to be highly rated. win/win, maybe?

All too easy to forget, but the margins have been very fine.

Hit the bar two or three times, is it? Missed a penalty and had keepers make worldie saves a couple of times.

Rub of the green and he'd have close to 10 goals so far this season.

Which youngsters do you think can come in and make a difference?

Or alternatively, it'd be an almighty slap in the face of not only Carroll, but Kenny and Comolli too, admitting failure and looking stupid.

Not to mention we currently dont have anyone else to play up front.

                        @BumperGraham

#Llorente was the subject of a bid from Liverpool a yr ago while LFC negotiated at same time for Carroll. Prps ended up with the wrong one?

whats more important to them, their ego, or the future of LFC...

Exactly. He rattled the bar against Swansea and Newcastle and I'm sure Blackburn, Man City and Norwich all have their goalies to thank for stopping us getting 3 points.

A few 90th minute winners, including one against City, a goal in the Merseyside derby and a few in the various cups and he wouldn't be being blamed for dragging the whole team down to new levels of ****tiness.

None of which are either ready, or even strikers.

So you say we loan Carroll to a team to stop him getting fatter; we've got Man City on Wednesday, we playing Kuyt up top on his own if Bellamy's knees are knackered?
