Why does the reason apply to Carroll then, but not to Maxi?

Maxi isn't brilliant either, not a first choice anymore and he doesn't seem to be part of Kenny's plans. Does the same apply to Carroll, our record signing, brought in by the current only 12 months ago ?

Whilst I think Carroll is crap, I've been agreeing with you and the others on the whole in this thread, but football has definitely changed. Hugely.

The way clubs are run has changed, the rewards have changed, the rewards for finishing 4th have changed greatly and along with it the expectations, financial pressures etc. To claim it hasn't changed is nuts.

Whooooosh. Yes, exactly, and my point is, if it can happen to him, it can happen to anyone, he was proven, and it still didn't work, so i don't see why every man and his dog is surprised or Angry with AC because it's not yet worked for him.

Only capable of the odd good game, no I don't think he is good enough for starting place, we need better. But enough about Maxi, this is the Carroll thread, I'm just curious as to why the manager hasn't been playing much, what is the reason?

Yeah, that's their policy. Also need to add, there's very little room for mistakes like Andy Carroll and Stewart Drowning.

Yes, he does seem to be out of sorts, not the player he was at Newcatle, but imo that could change in the space of a week or with a goal or two.

Look at Torres and all he's achieved, we KNOW how good he is, and yet he's suffered and looked as out of sorts as AC, there must either be reasons for this, ie: pshycological, or it's just how football is sometimes.

All i'm saying is, me personally, i'm not ready to give up on AC becoming an assett to this club, i'd also say we need to buy another good striker, and our wingers need to start playing with some sort of consitstency so that AC can do what he's meant to be very good at and the strong point of his game at Newcastle, which is heading a football.

Er, we are already one of the biggest clubs in the world. I'm talking about the likes of City shooting to the top of the pile.

Yeah because Kenny was managing him at his previous club

12 months on and the only reason he's getting regular games is because we have very little choice.
