There are moans and groans for everyone. Its how the player deals with it. Lucas came out shining. We will have to wait and see with Carroll.

Edit: He has also never given them a reason to cheer, apart from the brace against City 9 months or so ago. I really want him to do well. But you cant cheer when a player ****s up.

Ive been pretty reserved about Carroll. Not really said much either way. I never like to get on a players back. But its getting harder too justify his position at the moment. I think we all expected him to at least be a physical presence. He isnt even doing that.

      Do you think it's constructive?

We've all been patient with him and that doesn't seem to have done him any good. It's difficult to contain your groans watching Andy Carroll play.

Me sitting here at home on the internet being either positive or negative is not going to a blind bit of difference to how Andy Carroll plays.

Sure there have been audible groans, but there have been other players thats happened too. I remember the reactions when Luis Garcia would cheaply give the ball away - that didn't stop the vast majority of fans thinking the world of him as a player, because he could just as easily dumbfound you with something spectacular.

Andy Carroll has been given huge receptions whenever he's come on, like Stoke the other night. He's a professional footballer, if he can't take a bit of criticism, maybe he's in the wrong job. He's in the public eye doing what he does - if he's not doing it well, there is always going to be a minority being vocal - its in the nature of his chosen vocation.

On the whole, the vast majority have been right behind him.

And re this - you deal in absolutes quite regularly, just because I've been critical doesn't mean I'm revelling in him not playing well or rubbing my hands in glee whenever he falls over like a drunken horse on roller boots.

The point I was making was qualified by the statement I made directly underneath.

I cant believe the notion of helping a player's confidence by getting behind him and supporting him is being questioned and debated, i genuinely cant

could be done in time for him to line up for Spurs at Anfield. The reception would be interesting.

Ah i forgot the new EST rule enforced by Craig, that nobody is allowed to have an opinion about a LFC player without being accused of dun dun dun......."not supporting the player or the team"!! FFS Craig stop trying to constantly be a superfan

People are just being realistic and honest about his performances no point in lying or sugar coating it? There is nothing wrong with that & does not mean that people aren't 100% behind him when he plays for LFC. Every LFC supporter wants Andy Carroll to do well, but some just can't see that happening. No doubts everyone with doubts would be delighted to be proven wrong

I've no problems with people discussing and criticising Carroll but some of the comments recently have been ****ing pathetic

I've also got no problem with people making jokes at his expense etc.. but some of the comments have been downright vitriolic

So the people who have voted for the bottom two options - can we then expect them to lay off criticising/slating him, til at least the end of the season?

I'm stuck between selling him ASAP for £15m+ and loaning him out to regain confidence.

I don't know whether Kenny believes there's a future for Carroll here. If so, I'd go for the loan option. Based on what I've seen since he's signed, I'd go for the £15million sale.
