To be honest as sources of information they're probably as good as one anotherOriginally posted by dom9 View PostI mean the free newspaper, not the underground railway system.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

On Sunday Supplement this morning the story was that a third party believed to represent Liverpool, offered the swap deal to City. In other words, it could just be some chancer looking for a comission.
I hope it's not true, or at least hasn't come from Kenny. If he is prepared to swap a 21 year old for a 28 year old with a nightmare attitude and no resale value that would tell you that Carroll will never get better.
Sunday Supplement alos trotted out the line about Carroll not taking football seriously enough insinuating that he's boozing and not training hard enough.
They are a cunch of bunts on that show though

Rather have Tevez even short term quite honestly.

Why do you believe such bull**** stories?Originally posted by Dantheman View PostOn Sunday Supplement this morning the story was that a third party believed to represent Liverpool, offered the swap deal to City. In other words, it could just be some chancer looking for a comission.

Written by Daniel Taylor, a staunch manc, and published on the morning we play Man Utd....hmmm, i smell bull**** designed to unsettle Carroll on the day of a big game against Taylor's team...

Sky Sports are saying Carroll isn't happy that we offered him in a deal

Sunday Supplement offered an opinion on that too, they claim that there isn't much difference between the wages Gerrard gets ~£120k they claim, and the the £198k net that Tevez is on at Man City.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostOr to think even more logically, how were we expecting to pay Tevez his £250k p/w salary?
* not sure how they know the wages of players this accurately.
Just that Tevez is on 1.65 times Gerrard's wages (assuming Gerrard gets 120k a week after tax) that's about the same isn't it
It really is a comedy showThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm not sure that he is. He's potentially under-valued in the market right now. He could buy you guaranteed goals. He has sell on value.Originally posted by The Birdman View PostTevez is the exact opposite of FSG's transfer philosophy.
I think he roughly fits an FSG "moneyball" type purchase although Im 100% sure the rumour is bollocks anyway.
