Rather than playing the childish 'youre not a real fan' nonsense again, lets go back to the actual point. There is no reason why a poor signing playing for Liverpool would not get stick on internet forums. It comes with the territory and to moan about it as if it is new, as if it something that you haven't done in the past, and as us being Liverpool means it should never happen is really quite silly. Football fans complain about players when they talk to each other; big ****ing deal.

There's a vast difference between 'stick' and outright abuse. Surely you're capable of identifying the difference.Originally posted by Kenneth View PostRather than playing the childish 'youre not a real fan' nonsense again, lets go back to the actual point. Anyone who abuses our own players isnt my idea of a supporter. Whether you like it or not.

I wasn't aware that abuse was the focus of the conversation. It certainly wasn't in my post.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostThere's a vast difference between 'stick' and outright abuse. Surely you're capable of identifying the difference.

The level of sanctimony in this thread is through the ****ing roof.
The worst I have seen is Carroll compared to Voronin? There is no point spending the time crafting a well thought out and articulate post, as it just gets lost in all this who is the best fan, most of our supporters are cunts bull****. It's a ****ing internet forum, surely people have the right to voice opinion? The ones who step over the line or are disrespectful are banned (Chris).
People are disappointed and deserve the right to say how they feel about things related to the club without being told they are a lesser supporter. I have made my views in other threads and personally haven't felt I've abused the legacy and traditions of our club.
But am I unhappy with how things are panning out right now, getting beaten by Bolton, QPR, Wigan, Newcastle et al. You'd better ****ing believe it.Last edited by Buzzo; 01-04-12, 09:28 PM.Modifying post.

No, but i have been to games in other leagues and watched teams get booed of the pitch. You psy your money you have the right to voice your opinion. Its not my style, but its not up to me to tell others what to do.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostDo you think supporters abuse their own?
However I have only seen a few posts which I would class as abusive though? And a few Hodgson PFK ones in jest. The majority are just pointing out the many and varied problems we currently have. Obviously there are a few 'ringers' posting and peddling an agenda. But equally there are a lot of people who don't post very often voicing valid concern. When does the run we are on bring about cause for concern? Easily that happens now.
The great man Kenny himself said no individual is greater than the club. I am sure he includes himself in that, and I think it is possible to voice concerns and criticise without being abusive.
Personally I don't see the level of abusive posting that you are suggesting, but I may be missing some.Modifying post.

****in hell I spend ages writing my posts and you only respond to one bit in a couple of linesOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI'm not telling others what to do, i'm just express my belief that my idea of a supporter doesnt abuse his own.
Likewise, they dont mock their own players either. Leave that to the mancs and bitters, they do more than enough of it. Our job is to SUPPORT our players, not mock them.
TBH I do normally look out for your posts after games, A. Because you normally go, and B, because you have a good knowledge of the game. However even you have stated it is tough to get motivated to go to the games right now, and I can understand why. It is tough going supporting Liverpool right now, and thats because our results are horrible - we look like we can lose to anyone.
I agree we support, but surely we also critique. Otherwise we are just morons. When someone misses an open goal you don't cheer, you groan. Its human nature. But mocking, no I don't agree with that
