Andy Carroll scan, too early to say how bad (but bad enough). Hearing lots of negative assessments. Hope he is ok dailymail.co.uk/sport/football…Injury-jinxed Carroll sent for scan amid fears West Ham star won't play again this YEAR

West Ham and England striker Andy Carroll was heading for a scan on Monday night amid fears the injury-prone signing could be out for several months.
Carroll was due to return to the Hammers team for Sunday's match at Southampton, where he scored last season.
Carroll, who cost £15m from Liverpool, has had a bad run of injuries with knee trouble last season and has been out with an achilles problem recently.
He has not played for West Ham so far this season after joining the club on a permanent basis in the summer following a loan spell last term.
West Ham's medical staff are urgently assessing the latest damage but, because of swelling, it's difficult to establish how long he will be out for.
The club were trying to play down talk he'll be sidelined for four months and may not kick a ball again in 2013 but, having failed to buy another striker in the transfer window, it is a critical situation.
Only Modibo Maiga remains a a senior striker, supplemented by by transfer-listed Ricardo Vaz Te and junior striker Elliottt Lee.
It leaves West Ham urgently seeking a free transfer signing, although they recently rejected the chance to re-sign Carlton Cole who was released at the end of last season.

I like the lad. He's not very good but I can't help but want him to do well.
Being out on the grog so often isn't going to help though.
West Ham will be left in a right pickle if he misses the rest of the year.

Don't feel sorry for him. Plenty of time after the career to go out and "have some fun" but during it he must care of what he drink and eat.
Our scouts did a very poor job when they recommended that he would be a good signing. Deserved to be sacked.
Even if you only carry one kilo extra weight then that extra weight means that the risk to get injured will be bigger etc.Stop the cyberhate

from now on I will skip talking about our finances. That is a promise and will save myself from looking like a

Every summer there's a fair few pics of him looking absolutely steaming - this summer it was beach holidays, US road trips and festivals. Some right pics of him this summer. Like Lee said he's not very good but I like him, wish he'd sort himself out.Originally posted by RoboKop View PostIs the boozing thing fact now then? Thought it was all dismissed as unsubstantiated propaganda when he played for us?Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

I've said it before be he and Rooney are slobs. They are the antithesis of the modern day pro. It's such a short playing career they get and they are both lessening it massively by failing to take care of themselves properly. They're ******s basically who don't deserve it.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostEvery summer there's a fair few pics of him looking absolutely steaming - this summer it was beach holidays, US road trips and festivals. Well arguably the men who signed him did get sacked. I really doubt he was scouted for very long at all. It seemed to me at the time he was a knee jerk purchase from FSG and Kenny/Comolli because we needed someone and had a load of cash.Originally posted by Arn View Post

Its not something we seem to have done since or will do in the future.
Its all well and good saying someone should have been sacked for the decision nearly 3 years down the line. But at the time I guess it was made for the right reasons.*Except Michael, who died.
