        No it isn't.

Police have revealed 146 violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour arrests were made after the League Cup final.

This compares with 187 after the midweek Scottish Cup replay.

And police were relieved figures are down 36 per cent on last month's SPL match at Celtic Park when 229 arrests were made.

But the number of domestic abuse arrests increased from 40 after the last game to 52.

Only six fans were arrested at Hampden - two for sectarian breach of the peace - compared with 34 and 24 at the two previous matches.
No doubt you'll come back with "inside the stadium" but we all know that's not the full picture where football-related violence is concerned.

I misinterpreted your point. My bad. My response was indeded based on the stadium arrests.

The post game (and indeed pre game) violence up here is truly ****ing dreadful and continues to shame both clubs and their moron fans. Believe me I'm no apologist for any of the ****e that they perpetrate - I just felt it was important to distance the Tartan Army from those clowns. The Old Firm and the Tartan Army really are two very different things

Point taken but the way some go on it's as if they refuse to accept Rangers & Celtic fans are Scottish.

I think Shaggy owes all the Scots a sincere apology.

That's a two way thing. A lot of the TA come from the very uppermost north part of the north and hate the Old Firm. They want nothing to do with them and want the Old Firm to have nothing to do with Scotland. Thats more a symptom of the Braveheart mindset which is why we have Alex Salmond in charge here. BUt that's irrelevant.

You then have the Rangers fans who openly support England or to a lesser extent Northern Ireland and the Celtic fans who support ROI. They make no bones about their dislike of Scotland

There are also a lot of Irish (Northern and Southern) who come over here every week for the games too.

All really rather pointless if you ask me. I know plenty of decent Rangers and Celtic fans who are all Scotland fans too and as far as I know dont get into all the sectarian ****e but the likes of them never get the press the other lot do. The clubs are as much to blame as the fans in a way as they propogate the sectarianism whilst trying to publically decry it. That's the ****ing scandal.

I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06

Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a rule, always blame the Germans first and then look at the evidence
