Banana disgraces self at Scotland game

Hang on a second. I posted immediately after a press statement from the Brazilian Press Office was read out on SSN stating that one of their players had been subject to racial abuse and had a banana chucked at them (including quotes from two players including our own Lucas). Given that context I don't think it was unreasonable! If it had been England I would have done exactly the same thing (and I've always offered that viewpoint when our own meatheads are travelling around the world smashing up bars) A bunch then wade in and take a discussion about totally horrible behaviour and make it a them and us debate! I stand by what I posted given the time and context and what I said. people who throw bananas at black players are horrible *******s. The end! The only chip on my shoulder is with loutish racists (and other ists) of which, unfortunately all countries have minority of.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

I think that given the way the news was reported it was fair. Opposing fans racially abuse young player and chuck banana. Disgrace seems to be about right. We're obviously not going to agree and to be honest I'm not too fond of the personal abuse, of which im sure there'll be another inevitable flurry, so I'll leave it there. We'll stick to chatting albums I think, Dan.A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. You called the whole Scottish fans horrible *******s not the one individual who chucked a banana (and it seems it wasn't even a Scottish fan anyway). Far to fast to use a rod to beat Scottish fans with and you took great delight in the fact it wasn't the English fans as it usually is.Originally posted by Rowan View PostI think that given the way the news was reported it was fair. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
Are you watching Manchester United? Are you watching Chelsea? This is Liverpool F.C taking over the bloody world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

was at the game and didnt hear any racist abuse at all. couldnt hear jeering and neither did my mates who watched on the tv.
can understand neymar thinking it was a racist gesture (the banana on the pitch) but there is absoloutely no evidence whatsoever to point to the fact it was thrown as a racist gesture. people throw lighters onto the pitch . . . . does this indicate one of the players is an arsonist? IMO it was thrown onto the pitch just because it was at hand when the prick who threw it wanted to throw it.
i do ot condone throwing anything onto the pitch but i can see no evidence that it was a racist attack against anyone - certainly not neymar who isnt even that dark.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Would have been more appropriate.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
