Well, Madrid have been better at dealing with the smaller clubs, no question. If you asked 100 football fans who the better side was, 100 would say Barca but they keep dropping points away from home at **** teams. IMO that's down to complacency and a lack of motivation having done it countless times before. They're not robots.

It'll be weird if Real win the league - they will deserve it no doubt but no one in their right mind would try to argue they're better than Barca, cos as we all know they're not.

Great performance from Barca last night, and a repeat of the final 3 years ago. Although I love watching Barca play I actually hope Bilbao will take it, I have the utmost respect for their philosophy concerning local player

Marcelo Bielsa is a cracking manager. Completely crazy, but he's done a terrific job in harnessing this philosophy into success so far. I'm amazed at Bilbao's youth policy. It's really paying off for them and the likes of Llorente, Martinez and Muniain are going to earn them a shedload of money. If they can keep that core intact and supplement it with more quality youth players, then they can maintain their Champions League push not just for this season, but for a few more years yet.

Yeh Bilbao's system it is amazing, credit to them! They have been in the top flight for 40 odd years i think, using only basque players! not many other teams wold survive like that! class!

It's even crazier than that, they are one of only 3 teams to have been in La Liga for all seasons (80) the other two being Barca and Real.

They are the fourth best team in La Liga history only outdone by Barca, Real and Valencia in terms of points.

Bilbao have won the 3rd most championships in Spain with only Madrid and Barca more succesfull.

It's really quite incredible.
