I thought he was just too far from Walker to really give himself a chance when he knocked it past him, it gave Walker the advantage because of that.

I agree he didn't do anything wrong but then again he didn't do anything right either.. he was just there. IMO that's the problem he takes zero responsibility or risks and leaves it to others to try and do something.

No confidence, aggression or self belief, everything is just so half hearted. Unfortunately there's only so long you can persist with a player before he becomes a bit of a liability to the team IMO.

I kind of agree with the first point you could argue he it either way he did nothing right or he did nothing wrong. But he was only on the pitch for 20mins or so.

I disagree with the second point though I thought he showed more confidence and aggression again than he had done in the first half of the season, again it was difficult to judge because he was only on the pitch for such a short time. Personally I thought he was doing the right things and getting into decent positions, but like the rest of the team things just didn't work out in terms of chances (either created or scored). But I do feel that he is moving in the right direction now.

Said from last summer that 20 million for Downing was a ****ing joke and got abused for it. He has always been mediocre at best, I can possibly understand the errors with the other signings but this one is mind-boggling.
