Bellamy, Enrique, Henderson and Adam have been good signings. Not world class but our position made it difficult to buy them. I am dubious of the moneyball approach mind. I don't think it works.

We haven't approached anything in a moneyball fashion in the slightest. However, I agree it doesn't work in football as it could in baseball as there are other variables that are not in effect in baseball.

Enrique and Bellamy have been good, but Henderson and Adam have been very hit and miss and for our ambitions we need far better.

It depends what he was muttering about, if he was complaining about being taken off, then that's a worry. If he's not happy with his performance and feels he should have done better/more then that's a good thing.

I think that is high debatable to say the least.

It's depressing isn't it. It was a Hodgsonesque signing...when most blokes on a message board could say with near certainty from the outset that he would be a failure, like Konchesky and Poulsen. Absolute ****e and a soul destroying waste of twenty million pounds. Twenty million pounds.

IMO Bellamy & Enrique have been excellent signings. Adam has done well productively, but is piss poor when asked to play any sort of DM role.

Carroll has improved a bit recently but all in all has been a bad signing. Henderson & Downing have offered us nothing, and IMO those two are our worst signings, complete and utter passengers.

No way would I lump Henderson in with Downing. I'm almost certain Henderson will keep on improving and be a great player even if games pass him by at the moment.

Think Henderson is the sort who'll improve with better players around him, and has ability there to be tapped. Plus, I'm surprised with the amount of game time he's been getting this first season.
As opposed to Downing, who's at his peak remember........such as it is. Just one big vast plateau of mediocrity.
