There was also a point in the second half where he came back to help Enrique and nicked the ball off their winger. That's what I like to see. He showed up today.

Pretty much where I'm at, although he should still be considered 'out the door' until he's performed at a higher and consistent level.

It was better from him today, but the real test for me is not against Cardiff, but against Arsenal. Shows up there and it'll be a real starting point.

I thought he did well yesterday, can't be easy for him, people slagging him off, on sites like this and he must know that his form is not at the level of last year. I hope he gets his form together for the run in.

Needs to do it in the Premier League.

He showed glimpses against Man City in the Carling Cup and Man Utd in the FA Cup, but then decided to hide under the nearest rock in the Old Trafford game.

Was more aggressive in demanding the ball, found himself few times inside the box, attempted to take a man few times, had couple good crosses and provided a great pass to Carroll.

Also took few shots on the goal that could have found the net easily.

Definitely an improvement but the question is if he can repeat this type of performance against PL side.

This is the important thing for us, Brighton lets us have space, we as a team need to show that we can now do this against more aggressive sides.
