Yeah she did. Kenny's not worried about the money, he just wants to make the boys dance.

Price tags don't mean sh*te.
I accept that a price is determined by what the buyer is willing to purchase and a seller is willing to sell at.
However football is a business and if we look at the players as commodities, you can see where certain people get the views that price tags should reflect the players capabilities.
Example. Cars a 10k nissian Micra or a 20k BMW. I pay for quality and performance and productivity. Goes with any product. Players are a product of a football club. They are purchased or manufactured [home grown]To improve quality, performance and productivity of the team. Football is a business.
So based on that Price Tag of 20m. 3 current players. saurez v Henderson and Downing.
Performance, quality and productivity of saurez justifies his 20m tag. Others don't

I've been thinking about that and I don't think he's much better than Riera, if at all really. And I liked Riera, for what it's worth. Obviously he's got a far better attitude than Riera and is a better pro, which I guess swings it for him. But purely in football terms, at this stage anyway, I'm not sure he's any better than Riera. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Riera was massively underrated. Classy player. Shame he had a ****e attitude. One of our best players (top three or so for me) that season.

downing shades it for over riera.
downing has a bit more pace and a more consistent delivery. riera was no slouch and i think he was a good player for us and a shrewd buy by rafa but with downins ability to play either side of the pitch or off a front man that gives him the edge over riera.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

I think people get a little clouded with the impact Reira had on the team at the time. It was then like a breath of fresh air. All of a sudden we had some balance. But in reality, he struggled to beat a man in the end, he just added a good outlet for Aurelio. Yes he chipped in with some late runs into the box to score, but I see all of this and more in Downing's locker. Plus Stuart doesn't look the sort to start throwing lumps around on the training field, not that matters.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI've been thinking about that and I don't think he's much better than Riera, if at all really. I just think that we have Downing and Bellamy to cover the same position, or the flexibility to cover others if needed.
