Yeah I guess it was unbelievable offer for the club....someone actually offered us some money for him and we could sell a player without subsidising their wage at their new club.

I might be wrong, but he was dropped for 2 or 3 friendlies prior to the one against Celtic.

It's easy to laugh at old stewie but it does seem a little bit odd that we would give him mixed messages. Maybe we assumed nobody's would buy him, or priorities changed with luis staying, or Rodgers has been giving the green light to buy an expensive winger. Or our manager is a lying git

Or Stewie is as thick as pig ****. He didn't feature much in pre-season and when he did start v Celtic he couldn't even pass wind, let alone the ball. If he did not realise we would take a half decent offer for him that's his problem, signals or not from BR.

Who cares. Whatever was done or said was in the interest of Liverpool. Everything else is meaningless. Most players treat us as a job. So why not treat players as employees.

Downing might have been one of the good guys, but he was taking about £70,000 a week of us for next to **** all.

                    Corrected for you, Alex

Allardyce's comments were more annoying to be honest.

Every single manager out there is a lying git, it's pretty much impossible not to be imo.

how can you say you've corrected it when "off" is still misspelled?

It's the correct British one too.

I had a teacher at primary school called Miss Pell. She taught me to read and write. Of course in those days we had far fewer words and 'misspell' hadn't been invented so no one commented on her name.

                              True story.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
