Good mate of mine goes to every United home game and he's always rated Welback. According to him he makes excellent runs and works hard.

the lads i know who follow Sunderland said he was great for them, but personally never seen him have a good game At best i reckon he could be a 1 in 3 striker can never see him being prolific.

I got the feeling he does some of his best work off the ball which you'll only see at the match, not on a highlights package or televised game. Dunno though, I've never rated him particularly.

The two Mancs in our office still say he's Englands best striker, and its only because he hasn't had a run of games up front that his stats don't back it up.

I've given up trying to convince them, although they are gradually starting to come round to my way of think on Cleverley.

This is so annoying and I've seen his situation being compared to Sturridge. What they have in common, I've no idea - apart from the fact that they weren't playing for their respective first teams. But Sturridge was highly thought of and had shown a good goalscoring ability at Bolton. Apparently according to some, Wellbeck just needs a run of games and he can prove to be as good as Sturridge.

Again, our achievements are being undermined. It seems that the idea is that 'if Liverpool can do it, so can we'.

United - no Europe. Nevermind, that means that we can challenge for the title...Liverpool did.

Arsenal - sign a striker who was not playing for his former club. Great idea, all we need to do is give him games and he'll be a superb striker...Liverpool did that with Sturridge.

Welbeck completed a £16million move to the Gunners late on Monday after United's acquisition of Radamel Falcao pushed him further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

"It's exciting times for me. It's great to be a part of this club and it's a team that I've always watched in the Premier League," he said.

"I've been at United ever since I was a little boy and I had a great time there.
