    Charlie Adam

    Can't find a recent thread with his name in the title so a new one will suffice.

    Read earlier that Charlie Adam attempted 0 tackles in the 2nd half v Wolves.

    A conscious decision or just too slow to get there?

    Can we afford to carry someone in CM who either doesn't make tackles or gives away endless free kicks?

    If that stat is true that is truly appaling considering how much on teh defensive we were in that second half.

      Trying to get it clarified but a stats-obsessed LFC blogger on Twitter is trotting this one out quite often.

      Also says Adam attempted 0 tackles in the final 25 minutes v Arsenal.

          That's poor if true. People (myself included) commented on Meireles' lack of tackle, err, so to speak, but surely he wasn't that bad?

            Tackling clearly is not his game, but as you rightly say, can our team afford one of these CMs.

            Maybe we should just bring him on for the last 20 minutes of the first half.

              Never been convinced by Adam.

              I think he could be a decent player, but I really worry about his lack of mobility and fitness.

                On his fitness, a lot of people say it will come over time. But is it possible that he is simply never going to be fit enough to play the full 90 because his body is simply not up to it...?

                  No doubt he does have a decent left foot and can ping a pass, but we need a better all round player than that.

                  I know Alonso is an unfair comparison, but he was just awesome at everything. ****ing hell, I miss Xabi.

                      The comparison between Alonso and Adam is laughable. Xabi is utter class.

                            Bearing in mind how stat-obsessed our owners/management are, hopefully they'll notice this and get it sorted. If true of course.

                              What is the solution? Drop Adam and put Henderson in there? Then wait a few games and realise he is not up to it either?
