The Guardian Football Weekly podcast, full of digs at Liverpool had a nice little bit about our brave lion.
The Irish dude was saying, 'Say what you like about JT, and many people do, but his ability to cope under the most horrendous pressure is very admirable I have to say."
16mins 40 seconds in (Monday's podcast).

he knows **** all about football, he acts like he hates all supporters and the actual sport, and tries to pass himself of as aloof and interesting in a dysfunctional kind of a way when actually hes just a ****ing drunk

Seen a lot of people point out the hypocrisy of those criticising us for the t-shirts whilst also wanting Terry to remain England captain. Couldn't agree more, complete hypocrisy. However, by the same token if anyone thinks the t-shirts were ok can they really rightfully clamour for Terry to lose the captaincy at this stage?Like blood on iron

I think there's a difference in that we've all seen footage which clearly shows what Terry saidOriginally posted by Red_Polo View PostSeen a lot of people point out the hypocrisy of those criticising us for the t-shirts whilst also wanting Terry to remain England captain. There wasnt any footage to show Suarez's guilt.

In other words you've already decided he's guilty, and are condoning pre-empting an actual verdict being reached through whatever process. I can't agree with that really, however obvious the outcome of the case may appear to be. Some principles are too important to waive so easily; it's a slippery slope in my mind.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI think there's a difference in that we've all seen footage which clearly shows what Terry said

Circumstances might all be rather convenient for brave lion JT, but I wouldn't bend my principles just to see him get the comeuppance I'd like him to receive.Like blood on iron

Has anyone thought about Anton Ferdinand in all this?
I don't mean you's lot, I mean the journo's debating whether Terry should play for England, the right and wrong's of his legal argument etc. It's sickening that all the attention is on him and not the victim of what was frankly vile racist abuse.
He's an odious little cunt who'll get what's his one day, I can almost guarantee that. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.

Footage makes things look pretty bad for him and if i was going to tick one box over another at this stage, the likelihood seems that he's probably guilty. That said, i'm not the jury or judge
I'm just posting it on a forum and wont be making the decision.

Well yes, but I don't think the court of publib opinion is entirely irrelevant and generally speaking I don't think it's unreasonable to expect people to be able to justify their opinions to some small degreeOriginally posted by Craig_H View PostI think you're taking my comment emphatically too seriously

Completely agree in this respect, not that it should hold sway over what I was talking about before of course, but the general excusatory attitude of some people in the media has been ****ing appalling.Originally posted by Lents View PostHas anyone thought about Anton Ferdinand in all this?
