    "Of course you can Warny"

Quality put down by the Aussie.
can be an utterly horrendous sport but the banter is cricket is pretty much no holds barred hence brilliant
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

@StephenMangan: TRUE:QC 2day asked John Terry how many times he'd been sent off-"Can you say, please? Four times?" JT reply-"Please, please, please, please"

Court burst into laughter, with Terry looking very confused at the response.

            He's taking the piss now.

So is his defense that he repeated what AF said or that he was replying sarcastically or both

Both......that when he said "****ing black cunt" it came, as it were, with inverted commas.....so he reckons he was accused by AF of calling him a "black cunt" and responds by saying "fack off, fack off, fackin 'black cunt', fackin knobhead"

At least that's how I understand it.

You know if someone comes out with something completely absurd and out of nowhere, you might scoff at their suggestion by saying "****ing '(what they said)', whatever you ****ing idiot".

Not all that unusual a manner of speaking. Might be true, might not be, but that's how I'm reading Terry's story.

You might, but preceding it with yeah yeah wouldn't fit quite well.
