My understanding was that the punishment is set based on the rules he was 'shown' to have broken. Which would be the same for both him and Terry if proved. Same rule didn't apply to Ferdinand who was charged under a different rule.

      Are you sure?

I think Suarez got 4 games for the insulting behaviour and it was doubled due to the mention of race shebang. The same would then be the case for Terry.

Does beg the question why the **** did Evra not get 4 games off for abusing the **** out of Suarez, but there we go.

I very much hope Terry gets ****ed by the FA. If he does then people may understand the difference in burden of proof. Then again that might be expecting too much, of the FA and of people.

but it seems the FA don't take that into account.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

BTW 38 days & still no @FA verdict on Terry. That's now 4 days longer than it took with the oh so complex Suarez case.

Hmmm FA hoping it will be forgotten about?

Doubt it. I guess they are taking their time in wording the report carefully enough to ban him, but not make him look racist.

The verdict will come straight after these international matches......

Probably waiting for some huge football story to break then they can announce the verdict at the same time and avoid it hitting the back pages

I'd let them off with that skullduggery if the story was Hodgson being sacked.

The Premier League is refusing to scrap its pre-match handshakes despite Chelsea's John Terry and Anton Ferdinand of QPR due to meet for the first time this season next weekend.

..........instead Terry will use his ankle injury as an excuse

Was thinking about the whole handshake thing as we're playing the Mancs soon. I wonder how the Suarez/Evra thing will play out.
