Thanjk you.

Still the double standards is sickening - 45k for a multi millionaire is nothing but to suspend a player for 8 games is a MUCH bigger course of action. Same with the Terry punishment - the FA are a total joke!
You can certainly argue whether each punishment was at the right level or not, but it's not really a double standard. On and off pitch are always treated differently by the FA and should be.

Has the Terry hearing happened and I've missed it?
If not when is the date for it?
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I understand your point but in Ferdinand's case it was black & white racism (excuse the pun!) as it's on Twitter for the whole world to see, whereas Suarez's case was all based on hearsay & only Evra's side of the story. So in this instance I disagree with the whole on the field, off the field issue...

What difference does that make though? They have to decide guilty or not, the evidence comes into that but once they have decided that's that. You can't expect them to have a system whereby someone is more definitely guilty, so has a more severe punishment. It makes a mockery of those found 'less' guilty being punished at all. Very reasonable to argue Suarez should not have been found guilty (I would, and do) but I don't think 'less guilty' is appropriate!

Let me re-phrase as I'm not saying Suarez is less guilty than Ferdinand. I'm saying based on the FA's logic & reasoning (or lack of), Ferdinand's punishment should have been & Terry's punishment should be more severe than Suarez's, that's all.
Terry CANNOT get away without the same if not more severe punishment than Suarez. It just cannot happen.
Lets look back, the FA concluded that Suarez was not racist, but he used words on the pitch that could be interpreted as such. In short, he was advised that under no circumstances was it acceptable to use the term Negro on a football pitch in England.
Step forward John Terry. He used the term "****ing black cunt." The FA have to now conclude that under no circumstance is it acceptable to use such a term on a football pitch in England.
Whether it was said with any racist intent is neither here or there (as they concluded with Suarez), its the fact that those words came out of his mouth whilst on the pitch.
That is why Suarez was banned, and that is why Terry should at the very least, receive the same punishment.

Has anyone got any idea when Terry is due to be tried for this?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

And yet I predict he will either get away with it or it will be a far softer punishment. Precedents don't seem to follow in football especially with the English FA

The most he will get is 4 games, Suarez got his doubled from 4 to 8 because the FA found him guilty of doing it on multiple occasions. As far as I'm aware Terry only said it once...
