    That was the biggest hurdle for the lad to overcome too, the stupid idiotic price tag.

    But Tbf, towards the end of the season, he looked like he was getting to grips with everything.

      at tht price you need one thing and one thing only games games and games...he didn't get this...tbf BR has his own ideas and you can't blame him for that.

        It was an insane amount of money and a panic buy whichever way you look at it. However, the lad himself is not to blame and when he has been fully fit and had a decent run of games he has looked a real threat.

        Like Bender says, BR has his own plans and if AC does not fit in, then tough. We need to accept these tough decisions and put our faith in the new Manager.

              Can't argue with that. Carroll seems like a decent lad and has certain qualities but to be honest i wouldn't really care if we offloaded him for 10 million. Just can't see a place for him in Rogers system, he has no technique and i don't see him being able to hack the pressing game that Rogers wants our players to do.

              Seems a good lad though, if he stays love to see him improve and sure if he goes well then best of luck but wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

                If we are taking a £25million hit on him, then just ****ing keep him. I'd like to give him one more season. I'd be terribly disappointed if he showed his true ability at another club.

                  I agree with dan & others.

                  Carroll will NOT fit into this system. If he goes for £10m or something ridiculous, the £25m loss is the fault of the previous lot who had it in their thick heads that a kid who'd played half a season in the premier league should be the ninth most expensive footballer of all time.

                  If he doesn't fit in the plans of Rodgers we need to get rid as soon as. His value will only lessen if he's a permanent sub and marginalised. It certainly will not go up.

                    He's a good player and will get better. But his style does not fit in with how Rodgers wants to play football. If he goes to West Ham he'd look top class. If he stays here he'll look abysmal.

                      Newcastle interested in loan. So we give them £35m and the player back after a season. Deal of the century. We'll probably pay a % of his wages for good measure.

                        It was a bad deal. We know that, have to move on now.

                        Right now we have to forget about the fee and answer some questions, such as will he fit into the system of Rodgers. If the answer is no we need to get rid and do it for as much as we can get - if he'll go.

                            Can someone explain definitively why he can't fit in, i'm yet to hear a good reason, too tall ?

                            He can play football, he can pass a ball, he can run, like every other player here he'll need to learn BR's system, why can't he ? What is it that makes it such an impossibility ?
