Sorry mate, I disagree, I think he is a terrible footballer.

That's rather hyperbolic language though. He's not ****, he has proven that by scoring goals. He wouldn't work for us because he is not flexible enough and is one dimensional. Think he'll have a decent career in mid table sides.

I once said he was destined to be the next Alan Shearer.

His hair has started to get shorter.....

I think I just heard Martin Keown on MOTD refer to Carroll as a "phenomenal athlete." ****ing hell!
          Never knowingly optimistic

I dont even think he is that good in the air.

Yes if course it is. More accurately I should say he is a mediocre player at the top level of football and suited to a team with a more limited style of player and more limited ambitions.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Think Matt is right for once. Carroll is not very good and I remember how frustrated I was when he constantly gave the ball away when he was with us.

I am not saying he is a total right off in the air, just that he is not some kind of ball magnet when the cross comes in, and vastly overrated as a target man (in my opinion). Nice you tube footage, but I am sure someone could make Djimi Traore look like... Sami Hyypia

Obviously, going by the evidence of his time in a LFC shirt, he has not provided a decent ariel threat, and this is with the mighty Stewie Downing putting in tantalising crosses all day.

Even Owen scored some headers. The chances Carrroll has had he should have done much better with. Unfortunately, he will not fit into a system unless he plays centrally, as he does not have the qualities of a wider player.

While at WH he's the above, but when at LFC he's an underperforming 35mill flop.

How many starts did Carroll get?

What is the conversion rate of a good striker generally? Even Suarez misses a lot more than he scores, but a run of games bring increased chances of getting those goals and, surprise, they come..
I know Andy will not fit into the current system employed by BR, but I wish we employed more than one system of attack. As I said before, we are read before the whistle is blown.

                          But there you go...

Sorry mate, but he is never good enough for any team with European aspersions. This season btw he has 2 goals in 10 starts and 2 in 14 overall.

Last season he got 21 starts for us and 4 goals in the league, he had 88 shots for those 4 goals. He also had 14 sub appearances.

That is a goal 4.5% of the time for Carroll, Suarez last season scored with 8.5% of his chances, this season Suarez scored with 12.7% of his chances.

Sterling also has a better chance conversion rate than Carroll at 5.5%.
