Bodger is probably doing it to make a point about Studge. Massive jowly flange sack.

Was reading some of that earlier on alright......................he's dead right as well.

How dare anyone question Roy's proven methods ? That John West trophy in 19 o'splash didn't win itself.

So basically he's complaining that Rodgers has done what Fergie did for 20 years, protect his players for the good of the club.

I'm sure Brendan will be gutted if the "relationship" with Hodgson suffers.

I can't believe Hodgson is still there It's incredible really . He's done an absolutely terrible job so far yet he's seemingly under no pressure whatsoever

He has also succeeded in his absolutely speciality. The one skill he has which makes him genuinely unique. Gifted even. Namely, lowering expectations.

England fans have always had slightly unrealistic expectations, the team is always massively overhyped etc. Not any more! Roy has not only fixed this , he's gone one better, he's made qualification from the most piss easy group we've had in years seem like a momentous achievement.

As someone who's made a career of mediocrity and getting away with doing a crap job for years , I have to at least respect him for that. I've got away with it with several different major companies, but Roy is getting away with it for the England National Team. That's some next level ****.

Great the way he exonerates Rooney whilst condemning Studge & calling Brendog a liar. Also completely missing the point about Studge's special requirements.

Hodgson is an England FA's dream. The epitome of Englishness. No ambition, no talent and very little chance of success. Its not just a state of mind in England its almost a desire to reach this level of mediocrity.

The question therefore is, why would you ever want to get rid of Roy?

Like someone would do in the 1980s. No individual coaching methods and a universal rule for them all.

James McCarthy left out of the Ireland squad cos Martinez said he's tired and needs a break. Contrast that with Hodgson!

Roy Hodgson makes ill-judged comment about Wayne Rooney's Scouse accent

Roy Hodgson has risked upsetting Merseyside by making an ill-judged comment about Wayne Rooney’s Scouse accent.

The England manager, no stranger to controversial remarks, suggested that Rooney would not be able to stand up and lecture a room full of people because of his ‘Liverpool accent’.

When asked what Rooney was like as an orator, Hodgson said: ‘Oratory is a much over-exaggerated quality. There are some people I think are very eloquent who don’t get messages across well and others who I don’t think you would regard as orators who get their message across very well.

England manager Hodgson suggested Rooney would not be able to stand up and lecture a room of people

‘Everyone knows Wayne is not the sort of person, with his Liverpool accent, who is going to be able to stand up in front of a lecture room of people.

'But he doesn’t need to. All he has to do is make certain the players he is talking to understand where he is coming from.’

That rug really tied the room together.
